| We landed in Oporto, and stayed in a hotel right by the airport. The next morning, we rented a sadly underpowered Volkswagen Golf, and drove straight to La Coruña. |

| We decided to rent a Golf because we felt it was large enough to carry two people plus luggage comfortably, but of course we assumed it would be a 1.8 litre turbocharged model. -It turned out to be a naturally aspirated 1.4!! At times we had trouble holding the 120kph speed limit on the highways! |
